Borrow
- children aged 10 and under may borrow up to 10 items
- children aged 11 to 15 may borrow up to 15 items
- adults and teenagers aged 16 and 17 may borrow up to 15 items including some videos
Items are loaned for a 3 week period.
There is a small charge to borrow audio-visual items such as talking books, DVDs, and language courses.
If your local library doesn't have the book you’re looking for, you can reserve it for free if it is available within the The Libraries Consortium
Fines are charges on all items brought back after their due date, or renewed after their due date.

Renew
Items may be renewed:
- in person
- logging into your library online catalogue account, using the the Account Icon top right
- calling our 24-hour automated telephone renewal line on 0333 370 4700
- logging into your My Library App
- public access terminals, available at every library in the borough or over the internet
We will need your library card or item bar code number. The telephone number of your local library can be found on the date label in the book.
You may only renew items three times without bringing them back to the library. Items cannot be renewed if they are reserved by another person. If you renew an audio-visual item, there will be a repeat-hire charge.
If you renew audio-visual items, there will be a repeat-hire charge.
Reserve
Items that are available within Ealing libraries or at other London library consortium member sites, can be reserved for free, either by library staff or by using the online catalogue.
You can select which library to collect the items from and have the option of being notified via email.
If the item is not available within Ealing Libraries or our LLC partners, items may be borrowable from other public library authorities nationwide. There will be a small charge for this service.
Ealing based choral societies can also reserve music scores that are not available from the Ealing Libraries collection. There is a charge for this service.
