Joining an Ealing library is free, and you can do this if you live, work or study in Ealing.

You can join the library by either:

Once you have joined you can borrow from any of the Ealing libraries and return loans to any branch. Books are FREE to borrow, but there is a small charge for audio-visual items.

If you are aged 16 or over

To join the library, take one piece of ID with your name on it, for example a bank card or passport, to any Ealing library.

You will be issued with a membership card and asked to sign it. By signing your membership card, you are agreeing to abide by the byelaws of Ealing libraries.

If you are under the age of 16

To join the library, your parent or carer must show one piece of ID with their name on it, and they must sign your library card.

They will need to complete the recommender section of the joining form and must also give permission on the form that they wish for you to use the internet inside the library.

PIN number

Once you have joined and have been given your library membership card, you will be given a PIN number.

You will need a PIN to access some library online services, such as renewing your books online or using the public-access computers inside the library.

Usually, your PIN is given to you when you join the library. This should be kept secure as it also gives access to your own personal borrower record.

If you were not given your PIN when you joined the library, or if you have lost it, please come into any Ealing library with your library card and some ID. You may be asked further security questions.
